Connecting Humanity with Healthcare
Meet Dr. Katie Ferree
My patients call me Dr. Katie, or Katie. The title "doctor" was never something I grew attached to; however, being a doctor allows me the freedom in medicine that is necessary to help guide my patients to obtain true health and healing. I attended National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois and completed my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, Master of Science in Acupuncture, and Massage Therapy Certification. My earlier training started at Monmouth College where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a double minor in Sociology and Anthropology. My love for learning started at Monmouth and has become an integral part of who I am. I've come to realize first hand that knowledge is empowering. My goal is to empower you through education about your body so you need me less and less.
Principles of Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is dedicated to the study and celebration of nature’s healing powers. The core practice of naturopathic medicine is as old as healing itself, and as modern as new medical breakthroughs. The profession incorporates a dynamic philosophy and recognizes the interconnection and interdependence of all living things. Naturopathic medicine prioritizes the most natural, least invasive and least toxic therapies to treat illness, and promotes wellness by viewing the body as an integrated whole.

Naturopathic medicine is defined by principles rather than by treatment options. Above all, it honors the body’s innate wisdom to heal and gives patients the tools for lifelong wellness.
